Why might you require support? Software such as Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) becomes more functional and complex every new release. Companies’ Information Management (IM) departments typically are not familiar with AutoCAD software, and therefore are not familiar with setup or maintenance. IM departments often do not adequately support the AutoCAD application from a user or installation standpoint. In turn, CADD operators work less productively and with a configuration that is not optimized. Furthermore, companies sometimes do not take advantage of network licensing scenarios due to lack of IM experience with the software. Proper plotting and shared system configurations are often missing as well due to lack of internal experience.
