AutoCAD Mechanical 2005

AutoCAD Mechanical 2005
AutoCAD Mechanical 2005 is a purpose built 2D mechanical engineering design and drafting application that provides significant productivity gains over standard AutoCAD software in manufacturing environments. It includes standards-based libraries of parts and predrawn content for improving design accuracy, and automates a variety of common tasks to save countless hours of design time. AutoCAD Mechanical 2005 provides the unique ability to detail and document native Autodesk Inventor part files and automatically updates the drawing when changes are made to the Inventor file. Create more accurate drawings faster and dramatically increase drafting productivity with AutoCAD Mechanical 2005.

AutoCAD Mechanical Recommended System Requirements

This configuration is suggested primarily for detail-drafting activities, moderate use of standard parts, and small 2D assemblies of fewer than 100 parts.

  • Intel® Pentium® III, Pentium 4, Xeon®, or AMD Athlon™ processor, 1 GHz or higher
  • Microsoft® Windows® XP (Professional or Home Edition, SP1) or Windows 2000 (SP2 or later)
  • 512 MB RAM minimum
  • 500 MB or more free disk space
  • 32 MB OpenGL® graphics card, 1280x1024x32-bit true color or better
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later

Preferred System Requirements
This configuration is suggested for production-level 2D assembly modeling (hundreds of parts or more) with heavy use of standard parts, associative 2D hide, or Autodesk Inventor® associativity.

  • Pentium 4, Xeon, or Athlon processor, 1.8 GHz or higher
  • Windows XP (Professional or Home Edition, SP1) or Windows 2000 (SP2 or later)
  • 1 GB or more RAM (1 GB or greater recommended when running the Autodesk Vault client)
  • 500 MB or more free disk space
  • 64 MB or more OpenGL workstation-class graphics card, 1280x1024x32-bit true color or better
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later

Note: Less-capable machines can run AutoCAD Mechanical 2005, but the results will be less than ideal. The use of additional memory and faster processors directly improves performance and capacity and is strongly recommended for design work entailing the use of the software’s design and engineering functionality such as 2D structure, associative 2D hide, standard parts, calculations, machinery system generators (shaft, chain/belt drive systems, and so on), and Autodesk Inventor associativity functionality.
