Webinar - BIM for Facilities ManagementWebinar - BIM for Facilities ManagementAMS CAD + CAFM Solutions invites you to attend our latest educational webinar BIM for Facilities Management. In this webinar we will discuss what we believe to be the next frontier of BIM: functionality that serves the building owner and facility manager. BIM has become fairly entrenched in the architectural community, is quickly growing in momentum for engineers and contractors, and is now poised to be of great value to the building owner and facility manager.

DATE AND TIME
Wednesday, August 18, 2pm EDT

PRESENTERS:

  • Dan Lorenz, Vice President, AMS
  • Bill Jordon, Director of Services, AMS

DESCRIPTION
BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology has been around a while, but has grown significantly over just the last few years and has become both widely accepted and, in many cases, required for project deliverables. Having a “virtual model” of your building brings opportunities for cost savings throughout the facility lifecycle. AMS will explore many of these areas and discuss how BIM software such as Autodesk’s Revit is able to exchange data with FM applications for a wide variety of uses, including sustainability initiatives.

Every building has a complex lifecycle with a wide range of people managing information. How much of your building information is lost from initial design and construction or during major renovations? Access to this BIM data, which includes space/room information as well as building equipment and assets, can improve communication and collaboration as your building evolves, keeping architects, engineers, contractors and facility managers moving in the same direction.
