The new version includes a highly anticipated reporting feature which can send a user selection or search results to popular software applications such as Microsoft Word & Excel. Reports can also be exported to a universal delimited file for exchange with other applications. In addition to reporting, the new software allows for the printing of automatic watermarks for controlled copy prints. The software also has the ability to automatically publish web-access for specific areas of the vault to be available read-only. This allows companies to have a secure way to let their customers access only the documents that pertain to them. New application integration features include support for Autodesk Inventor 6 and Solidworks software for managing complex 3D parts and assemblies. The new version also has the ability to treat documents that belong together, such as AutoCAD drawing files (.DWG) with inserted scanned images (i.e. .TIF), to be treated as one hybrid document in the vault. Finally, a new archiving feature makes it easy to take legacy data out of the vault for data retention purposes. AMS customers have expressed a particular interest in the new watermark printing feature which helps them identify the source and integrity of a printed version of a document. They also are looking to take advantage of support for Inventor 6 and Solidworks, as well as being able to archive documents off the system.
